Life on aThree Legged Camel

Tales that connect generations, cultures, and hearts.

The ride is unsteady, the path full of surprises yet every stumble, laugh, and lesson shapes the story of who we are.

Take a break and join us at our oasis – a living space for reflection, storytelling, and shared human experience, where kindness is the essence.

Welcome

I’m Francesca Davino

founder of Life on a Three-Legged Camel Book Club. I am a lifelong book lover and writer, with a background in corporate communications and human interest storytelling.

In this technology-driven era, I believe reading and creative writing need renewed encouragement. I also believe that inside every book lover lives a secret author—someone with a story shaped by experience, insight, and hard-earned perspective.

Our goal is to foster thoughtful reading and conversation within a private, members-only community. We offer writers a protected place to share lived experiences. This is not a step toward traditional publishing; this private club is the publication.

While submissions are guided by clear standards, perfection is not the aim. What matters most is honesty, reflection, and the generous sharing of human experience. Stories here do not need commercial validation to matter. Some authors may later choose to develop their work for a wider audience and all rights remain with the author.

This book club was created to give those stories a home. As we launch this initial beta version of the platform, we invite you to help us shape this oasis. Because this is a living, evolving space, your feedback is as much a part of the story as the words on the page.

If you love reading, reflecting, and learning from real lives, you belong here

Mission Statement

The Three-Legged Camel Project celebrates the power of ordinary stories-tales of stumbling, learning, and getting back on the ride. By fostering a love of reading and creative writing, we aim to build a community rooted in humor and honesty. Our mission is to inspire readers and writers alike to see their own journeys as part of the great, bumpy ride of life.

It’s a strange thing to wake up one day and realize that society has started looking right through you. There’s a quiet, unwritten rule out there that says once we reach a certain age or belong to a certain group, we should just sit back and stop being heard. I’ve felt that “invisibility” myself, and I know many of you have, too.

But here is the truth they overlook: our lived experiences are not burdens; they are blueprints. Our learned lessons are not relics; they are maps for those following behind us.

Writing is the ultimate way to leave a permanent mark that cannot be ignored. While a conversation might be dismissed, a written story demands to be reckoned with. It is an enduring record of our existence and our intellect. We are here to reclaim the space that was taken from us and to prove that our voices still carry weight.

It is time to step out of the shadows of “invisibility” and into the light of our own narratives.

Let’s Get Visible
not just for the world to see, but to honor the value of our own lives.

Our Belief

Every Reader
is a Secret Author

In a fast, technology-driven world, we believe reading and creative writing deserve renewed care. Inside every book lover lives a story shaped by experience, insight, and perspective. This book club exists to give those stories a home.
